Karen is married and has 2 grown children and 1 grand baby. She spends lots of time outside; planting flowers, playing golf, and going to OU football games! Karen says, “The residents make every day worth coming to work. It’s so rewarding to know they feel like part of your own family.” Her goal as the leader of this community is to try to make everyone’s life brighter each day.

Margaret Lackey
Director of Sales
Margaret has 2 beautiful daughters and is “Mimi” to 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. As an Oklahoma City native and Capitol Hill High School alumni, she makes a connection with every person who walks in the door! She loves Village on the Park because she has a passion for seniors and feels it is her calling to make a difference in their lives.

Jennifer Atchley
Director of Business Development
Jennifer’s family includes 2 sons and a huge dog! She and her husband are church planters and lead Identity Church in downtown OKC. Jennifer’s favorite part of her role at VOP is educating seniors and their families about the benefits of living in a community like ours. She spends much of her time leading classes and hosting events so that everyone can understand how important it is to have a balanced lifestyle as we age.

Daniel Paredes
Director of Dining Services
Daniel moved to Oklahoma from California where he built his professional career in the culinary field working in 5-star restaurants and 5 Diamond Hotels in Beverly Hills. He hosted many banquets and had the opportunity to work for Wolfgang Puck and prepare meals for the Academy Awards, the 1994 World Cup, and many other high- profile events. Daniel loves making things better for his residents and prides himself on making meals fresh and from scratch. He and his wife have 3 grown children and live in Moore, Oklahoma.

Denise Tornquist
Director of Life Enrichment
Denise resides in OKC with a needy dog, Storm, a spoiled tuxedo cat, Boromir, and her sweet mom! She has 2 grown children and enjoys getting together with them as often as they can. She loves art, museums, gardening, movies, and spending time with friends. VOP is special to Denise because it’s like being part of a community. Residents are friendly and active and she enjoys taking them on trips and spoiling them with unexpected things to make them feel loved.

Rudy Avelar
Director of Plant Operations
Rudy and his wife have 8 sons and 1 daughter! When he’s not at work you can probably find him at a football, baseball, or softball game, or in the gym playing basketball or watching a wrestling match! He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Rudy loves the residents at Village on the Park and finds fulfillment in knowing that he is taking care of them and helping them with their daily needs!

Diana Roseborough
Business Office Manager
Diana is married and is very proud of her two grown sons! She enjoys working out, doing crafts and crocheting. The reason Diana loves her work is because we have such awesome, loving residents. They have such great stories to tell about their lives and when she’s not in her office, she can be found intently listening to one of them!
