Village on the Park Friendswood

Andrea Bloom is the Executive Director at Village on the Park in Friendswood. She has had this exciting opportunity for almost a decade. Andrea is responsible for every aspect of the daily operation for Village on the Park. She ensures that all the directors exceed our residents' expectation daily. She oversees everything from our dining services, activities, sales and marketing, and activities are designed to enlighten our residents experience. 

Andrea grew up in Friendswood and is a Friendswood alumni. Her parents have lived here for over 55 years, so she is very familiar with Friendswood.

Lisa Goodwin is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Village On The Park Friendswood. Lisa helps seniors in our community and surrounding areas find the perfect apartment home that will fit their needs. She will work with the family to provide resources and help ensure that a move to Village On The Park is an easy transition. Lisa is one of the many staff members that will help provide a loving, care free lifestyle at Village On The Park.

Lisa is a mother of seven, including four bonus children, eight grandchildren and is the wife to her husband Mike. Lisa enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time outdoors, finding new adventures together as well as spending time with the grands.

Linda Smith is the Business Office Manager for Village on the Park Friendswood. Linda enjoys helping our residents on a day to day basis. Each day she realizes what a joy it is to build a relationship and to be apart of their lives. Linda insures that the office runs smoothly and residents and staff have everything that they need. With the help of four concierges she makes sure that the front desk and life alert system is attended to 24 hours a day. It is her delight to support all staff in their daily responsibilities.

Linda is a mother of three children and grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren. Linda enjoys shopping and spending lots of time with family and making favorite meals for them all.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Chef Roane studied at the Culinary Institute of the South. Afterwards, he apprenticed in Nice, France, learning classical French under the direction of his mentor, Didier Busnot. With his strong work ethic, he unifies his team to create culinary excellence. “Being number one in guest satisfaction is what I aim for in this industry.” With that goal, he is focused on providing quality with fresh ingredients, especially from local farmers, in the menus he creates for residents.

In addition to our esteemed residents, Richard has cooked for known dignitaries and personalities including Presidents Clinton and Bush, Sr, General Colin Powel, Robert Redford and many more.

Jackie Schedule is one of our Directors of Life Enrichment. Jackie is responsible for creating and implementing activities for our residents that are well rounded, interesting, and fun. She also assists in creating the monthly newsletter that informs our residents and guests of the planned activities and events for the month. Her daily goal is to deepen the relationship that she has with each resident to create a loving, caring environment.

Jackie enjoys visiting with her daughter, her grandchildren and is the wife to her husband Lonnie. Jackie considers it an honor to spend her days with each of our residents.

Josie Abarca Thomasson has been a part of Village on the Park Friendswood since 2008. As a Life Enrichment Director, Josie leads the recreational programs at Village on the Park. Josie is committed to keeping seniors independent by coordinating daily programs that benefit their mental, physical and spiritual well-being along with planning special events for our community. 

In addition to being a life enrichment director at Village on the Park she enjoys reading, dancing and spending time with her husband Mike and her two children. She is also looking forward to becoming a grandmother for the first time. Josie was born in Houston and raised in Pearland, Texas and she has always had the compassion and understanding need to work with seniors as she always took care of her mother.

Rico has been at Village on the Park Friendswood since 2006. He ensures that all our residents' maintenance needs are met in a timely manner. He is AC licensed and certified. He also helps with any special requests that our residents may have.

Rico has 5 children and 1 grandson. He enjoys grilling and traveling with his family. Our residents are also like his family.
